A standard wall socket will charge the battery overnight, with no special installation required for basic charging. Where the electrical supply allows, a dedicated home charger adds speed.
Running on electric power is significantly cheaper per kilometre than petrol. The exact saving depends on the prices of electricity and fuel, which move. The vehicle switches between electric and petrol automatically.
